Congo war-driven crisis kills 45,000 a month-study

The war in the Congo has killed 5.4 million over the last nine years, a population roughly equivalent to all the residents of Colorado. Health care costs there are the lowest per person of any country in the world, at $15 per person per year. By comparison, in the US, $6000 is spent on average each year on each person.
